Most riders agree the best view of the park is on Hesitation Point Trail.

Coming off Aynes Loops, you will have a short downhill ride before passing by the ruins of an old brick shelter. Then you’ll take a long sustained climb over roots, rock gardens, and switchbacks as you ride to Hesitation Point Overlook for a view that will take your breath away.

You can also choose to start this trail at the small Hesitation Point parking lot.

After taking in the view and perhaps visiting the restrooms, this is a great place to start the awesome downhill ride to Aynes Loop.
