Since 1932, Brown County’s iconic Abe Martin Lodge has been tucked away in the beautiful State Park, providing a welcoming and relaxing respite in the woods! You can even get a special winter deal…two nights for the price of one on Sundays through Thursdays from the end of November until March 1! What a steal!
As you enter the main lobby of the Lodge, you’ll be blown away by the vastness of the wooden walls and grand staircase. Take time to marvel at the craftsmanship of the room and the warm feeling that it evokes. Admire the local wildlife species dotting the walls in true lodge-style fashion. You can even browse through the gift shop for the perfect Brown County memento.
Make 
your way upstairs and you’ll find multiple lounge areas, great for relaxing alone or for spending some time with family and friends. Gather up the family and check out the TV room, complete with comfy furniture and a large TV. Catch your favorite show or play some board games with the group. There’s also a quiet lounge area upstairs with plenty of seating and a massive fireplace.
The Lodge’s onsite restaurant is upstairs too! Open 365 days a year, the Little Gem Restaurant is a go-to for all those good ol’ Hoosier classics. Its quaint charm is sure to provide the perfect atmosphere for enjoying a delicious meal. You’ve got to try the Little Gem’s fried chicken and its fried biscuits and apple butter…signature items its known for! Besides offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as several buffets, the Little Gem also has live music every Saturday night from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. You don’t even have to be staying overnight to dig in at the Little Gem!
As far as rooms go, inside the Lodge you’ll find plenty of inn-style rooms to choose from. You’ll love the rustic elegance these rooms have to offer, complete with a great place to lay your head and a mini fridge! A majority of the rooms have even gotten a recent facelift, giving their traditional Brown County character a modern feel.
