We’re excited to share an important opportunity available right here in Brown County. This free training is especially valuable for anyone who interacts with teens or young adults—whether that’s in your business, through community events, or in everyday life.
Youth Mental Health First Aid
What is it?
A one-day course that teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in youth (ages 12–18).
You’ll learn how to:
- Recognize common signs and symptoms
- Offer support using the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE)
- Connect youth to appropriate professional help
- Encourage positive coping strategies and support networks
