Dear Business Owners,

After much anticipation, we’re thrilled to announce that our community will soon be glowing with beautiful holiday lighting from November through January — and it’s starting this year!

Thanks to the generous support of the Convention and Visitors Commission, the lighting project will roll out in two phases:

  • Phase 1 (Starting Soon): Van Buren Street will be the first area lit. Rooftops will be outlined with high-quality LED lights, and corner buildings will receive full trim for a striking effect.

  • Phase 2 (2026): We will expand the lighting to include side streets, continuing the same lighting style for a unified and magical look across our entire district.

What You Need to Know:

  • Lighting Consistency: If your business currently has exterior lights installed, they will be removed and returned to you so that all lighting is consistent across the community.

  • Lighting Details:

    • C7 LED lights will be used on smaller buildings

    • C9 LED lights will highlight taller buildings

    • The design ensures a uniform appearance from street level, even with varying roof heights.

  • Timers & Power:

    • Each strand can safely support up to 200 LED bulbs

    • Individual timers will be installed so each building can manage its own lighting schedule

  • Installation & Maintenance:

    • Lighting will be installed and maintained by Josh, our trusted installer moving forward.

We encourage all business owners to check your building’s electrical capacity now to ensure you’re ready for this exciting addition. Studies show that festive lighting can significantly boost foot traffic — especially during the colder months — and we’re hopeful this initiative will benefit everyone.
