Dear Business Owners,
After much anticipation, we’re thrilled to announce that our community will soon be glowing with beautiful holiday lighting from November through January — and it’s starting this year!
Thanks to the generous support of the Convention and Visitors Commission, the lighting project will roll out in two phases:
-
Phase 1 (Starting Soon): Van Buren Street will be the first area lit. Rooftops will be outlined with high-quality LED lights, and corner buildings will receive full trim for a striking effect.
-
Phase 2 (2026): We will expand the lighting to include side streets, continuing the same lighting style for a unified and magical look across our entire district.
What You Need to Know:
-
Lighting Consistency: If your business currently has exterior lights installed, they will be removed and returned to you so that all lighting is consistent across the community.
-
Lighting Details:
-
C7 LED lights will be used on smaller buildings
-
C9 LED lights will highlight taller buildings
-
The design ensures a uniform appearance from street level, even with varying roof heights.
-
-
Timers & Power:
-
Each strand can safely support up to 200 LED bulbs
-
Individual timers will be installed so each building can manage its own lighting schedule
-
-
Installation & Maintenance:
-
Lighting will be installed and maintained by Josh, our trusted installer moving forward.
-
We encourage all business owners to check your building’s electrical capacity now to ensure you’re ready for this exciting addition. Studies show that festive lighting can significantly boost foot traffic — especially during the colder months — and we’re hopeful this initiative will benefit everyone.
