New Friendly Reminder for Event Submissions

We’re so excited to see all the amazing events you’re adding to the Brown County calendar! Thank you for helping keep our community vibrant and active!

As we continue to improve how those events show up on our website, we’re making a small change to how featured images are used.

Moving forward, we kindly ask that featured images don’t include any text.

Why?

Event listings show up in lots of different shapes and sizes across our site, and when an image includes text, it can easily get cut off. So, to keep everything looking its best, we’re asking for images that are text-free and visually represent your event.

What kind of images work best?

Think of it like giving someone a sneak peek at your event! Here are a few great examples:

• A crowd enjoying your event from a past year

• A performer, speaker, or artist in action

• Beautiful food or drinks from your tasting or dinner

• Flora or fauna you may encounter on your nature tour

• A scenic shot of your venue or setup

Got a flyer or image with text?

No worries—you can still include it! Just add it in with the events description, and visitors will still be able to view all your important details there.
