Travel through the Village of Nashville and beyond, with stops at Country Heritage Winery Tasting Room, Bear Wallow Distillery, Brown County Winery, and Hard Truth Hills. Offered most Saturdays, this is your chance to enjoy Brown County’s locally-produced libations, all while sightseeing the hills and hollers on the Brown County Shuttle Service! Not only will you get a behind the scenes look at how these tasty spirits are created, you also will get to try them out. Sprinkle in some interesting Brown County facts and beautiful scenery along the way and you’ve got a one-of-a-kind excursion that’s fun-filled, carefree, and down-right delicious!

Chateau Thomas WineryAfter checking in at the Brown County Visitors Center, make your way across the street to Country Heritage Winery for a sampling of  Country Heritage’s dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, and sweet wines from a variety of fruits and grapes. Country Heritage acquired Chateau Thomas Winery in 2019 – meshing together two top-notch Indiana brands.

Next up is Hard Truth Hills. Sitting high atop a hill, tucked away in the woods is a 325-acre destination dedicated to drinking. A culmination of the Big Woods, QuaffON! Brewing Company, and Hard Truth Distilling Co. brands, Hard Truth Hills highlights the craft of craft beer making and the secrets of a successful spirit. Learn how it’s done and sample both beer and some spirits. After all, the truth never tasted so good!

Bear Wallow Distillery

Next, hop on board the Brown County Shuttle Service and head to your second stop, Bear Wallow Distillery. One of Indiana’s first craft distilleries and one of the only woman-owned distilleries in the nation, Bear Wallow produces top-notch bourbons, whiskeys, and moonshines. Tour the production facility, before sampling several handcrafted, artisanal spirits that are created using 100% Indiana grown grains!

Last but not least, you’ll make your way to Brown County Winery. Producing 100% of its wine in Brown County for more than three decades, this family-owned and operated winery features classic reds and whites, along with a refreshing rosé, famed fruit wines, flavorful cordials, and a barrel aged port. Sample them all and get a glimpse of how the magic is made!

After you are finished at Brown County Winery, the Brown County Shuttle Service will make its return to the Visitors Center to round out the Sippin’ Trip in plenty of time for shopping in the Village, some outdoor adventure, or food and drinks at your favorite Brown County restaurant or bar.
Besides plenty of sampling, you’ll also get a goody bag filled with info about the places you’re visiting, a tasty lunch to enjoy during the trip, and even a Brown County souvenir to take home!
