Itās officially fallā¦our favorite season around here! Thereās no better place to be when the trees start turning than beautiful Brown County. From bright colorful leaves and fall flavors to savor to bustling streets and endless outdoor adventureā¦nothing says fall like a trip to Brown County. What should you do, drink, eat, and experience while youāre here? Check out this list of our fall favorites. These definitely get the Brown County Visitors Centerās seal of approval!
Favorite place to admire the leaves
Brown Countyās stunning fall scenery is pretty much everywhere you look, but we think the Brown County State Park is the top place to take in the colorful fall foliage. Whether itās on a hike, at one of the vistas, or just a drive through, the State Park is top notch for leaf peeping! Another spot to hit up is the Bean Blossom Overlook, between the Village of Nashville and Bean Blossom on State Road 135 North. Freshly cleared this spring and summer, this overlook is sure to offer stunning autumn views!
Favorite fall sweet treats
Oh man, itās too hard to pick just one! 
Head to Millerās Ice Cream for their classic persimmon pudding or carmel apple sundae. Thereās also the Hot Carmel Pumpkin Ice Cream Sundae at Fearrinās Ice Cream, which is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. Pumpkin, carmelā¦we canāt think of a more perfect fall flavor combo!
Favorite place to pick a pumpkin
Well, Kelpās Greenhouse & Pumpkin Patch of course! This family-owned greenhouse and pumpkin patch is a great go-to for all your outdoor fall decorating and pumpkin carving needs. From gourds and mums to pumpkins of all sizes and even some local produce, make sure you make a pit-stop at Kelpās.
Favorite fall drinks
Brown Countyās fall cup runneth over! With so many great fall drink options, it sure was hard to choose our favorites. 
As far as non-alcoholic drinks go, we canāt get enough of the pumpkin latte and pumpkin macchiato from the Chocolate Moose. Meanwhile, Big Woods takes the cake for our favorite boozy fall beverages. Be sure to try the Put a Fork In It Pumpkin Aleā¦or if cocktails are more your thing, order the Campfire Serenade or Crimson Sour, both bursting with cinnamon and spiced pear flavor. All available at Big Woods Pizza and Hard Truth Hills.
Favorite salty fall snacks
Maybe youāre more of a savory kind of snacker rather than sweet. Thereās plenty of salty fall treats to go around too! We recommend warm, freshly roasted nuts from Jack & Jill Nut Shop or some fun-flavored popcorn, like maple bacon or fall festival, from the Nashville Fudge Kitchen.
Favorite place to snap a fall pic
If youāre in the Village, head to the heart of town for a pic in front of the glorious leaf sculpture. 
Standing 18-feet tall, the massive colorful leaves that make up the Soaring sculpture provide the perfect backdrop for a beautiful fall pic. Outside of the Village, hit up Hesitation Point in the Brown County State Park. The most popular vista in the park, youāre sure to love the sprawling autumn scene behind you!
Favorite place to stock up on fall decorations
Ok, we have to admitā¦this one was just too hard to decide, even for seasoned locals like ourselves. The short and simple answer to finding the best, cutest, most fun fall decorations is ājust about anywhere.ā Thatās right, thereās no shortage of fall dĆ©cor around here. Just take a stroll through the Village shops and youāll know what we mean!
Favorite fall meal
Nothing says fall like a warm, hearty meal. 
Thatās why we pick the Hobnob Corner Restaurantās homemade potato bacon soup and grilled cheese as our favorite fall fare. An October fall specialty, this potato soup is sure to hit the spot. Actually any of their soups (French onion, black bean, pepper steak) are A+++. Itās just a bonus that you get to dine in the oldest commercial building in Nashville while you enjoy it!
Favorite off-the-beaten path fall destination
Ever been to the Farmhouse CafƩ? You should! 
Not only will you get to see some vibrant colors as you make your way out there, but youāre sure to fall in love with the place once you arrive. The cafĆ© is located inside of an old 1800s brick farmhouse and serves up fresh, seasonal lunch and dinners. There are also antiques and greenhouses to explore too!
Favorite place to catch a fall sunset
You canāt beat Hesitation Point in the Brown County State Park! This West facing vista is perfect for catching the sun as it sets into a sea of colorful trees. Bring a blanket and some wine or pack a picnicā¦whatever you do, head to Hesitation Point!
Favorite fall event
Check out the Back Roads of Brown County Studio Tour, 
going on the whole month of October! Visit 19 home studios, featuring the work of nearly 30 local artists and see where the magic happens. Drive along our scenic back roads to get there. Seeing art in action + seeing Brown Countyās famous foliage = one heck of a fall event!
Favorite new place to visit this fall
Itās hard to miss the fall colors when youāre surrounded by 325-acres of forest! Thatās right, Hard Truth Hills is a massive new and fun destination you have got to see for yourself. Learn about the Big Woods, Quaff ON! Brewing, and Hard Truth Distilling Co. brands on a tour. There are also tastings, multiple bars, a huge restaurant, outdoor music, and plenty of fall beauty to bask in!
Favorite fall hikes
Letās be honest, any hike you go on in Brown County this fall is going to be gorgeous, 
but a couple of our favorites are Trail 7 around Ogle Lake and Trail 6 around Strahl Lake in the Brown County State Park. If youāre on a trail thatās under the forest canopy, chances are that youāll see mainly yellow and a little bit of orange. But, if you hike around the lake, youāll be able to see ALL the great colors as you take in the tree line across the way. Reflections of the leaves on the water are just an added bonus!
