Fall may not only be Brown County’s prettiest season…but our tastiest too! From apple cider slushies and pumpkin spice fudge to caramel pecan apple butter and toasted marshmallow popcorn, our delicious fall flavors are sure to hit the spot. After all, no trip to Brown County is complete without some scrumptious sweets and salty snacks…especially when they are themed like our favorite season!

Check out where you can score our top fall foodie finds below! Of course, this isn’t everything…there’s WAY too much to include. Our advice: hit the streets and you’re sure to stumble upon something absolutely fall-tastic!

Ice Cream

Savor the fall flavors with a big ol’ scoop of ice cream! Go simple with a classic flavor like pumpkin from The Chocolate Moose. Put it in a cone, make it into a shake, or sundae…you can’t go wrong with this fall standard. Try more creative flavors from Miller’s Ice Cream like persimmon, apple butter, maple nut, cinnamon, or Brown County campfire. You can even get a caramel apple sundae there. Speaking of sundaes…you’ve got to try Fearrin’s famous hot caramel pumpkin sundae. You can thank us later!

Coffee/Drinks

Maybe you’d rather have your fall flavors warm than cold. Well, you’re in luck! Head to any of our coffee shops for pumpkin spice everything! Lattes, frappes, macchiatos, or just a pump of flavored syrup…get your fall fix and a shot of caffeine.

If you’re after apple, grab a cup of hot apple cider at Trolly’s, the Nashville General Store & Bakery, or Fearrin’s Ice Cream! You can even find apple cider slushies (Ice Cream Cottage) and apple cider floats (Nashville General Store) too! Head to Sweetea’s for a couple of more unconventional fall drinks…maple coffee lattes and cinnamon spice tea!

Booze

Brown County’s fall cup runneth over…and that includes booze! Looking for beer? Try QuaffOn! Brewing Company’s Put a Fork in It Pumpkin Ale! You can find it at Big Woods Pizza and Hard Truth Hills. You’ll also find some amazing fall flavored cocktails at these places too. Order a Campfire Serenade, Crimson Sour, or CV Spritzer, bursting with cinnamon, cranberry, and/or spiced pear flavors. Pretty much anything with their Cinnamon Vodka is a fall winner! Bear Wallow Distillery also has some scrumptious fall spirits…apple pie, sugar maple, and salted caramel moonshine. Umm…we’ll take all of it!

There are tons of fall wine flavors too. Try sweet and tasty Apple Smooch wine at the Cedar Creek Winery tasting room or mouthwatering plum wine at Salt Creek Winery. Pop in the Brown County Winery tasting room in the Village or head out to the big winery in Gnaw Bone for apple, cranberry apple, and spiced red wine. Country Heritage Winery is your jackpot for hard ciders…you’ll find apple, cherry apple, cranberry apple, and pineapple apple flavors there!

Baked Goods and Sweet Treats

Satisfying your sweet tooth is easy in Brown County! The Village is overflowing with yummy baked goods and treats…all homemade and fall flavored of course. You’ll find fresh baked pumpkin and cinnamon bread, apple dumplings, cobblers, and jumbo cinnamon rolls at the Nashville General Store & Bakery. You can even snag some of Brown County’s famed fried biscuits and apple butter there…also available at Nashville House, Brown County Inn and Rafters at Seasons Lodge.

Hit up Miller’s Ice Cream for some persimmon pudding or head to the Artists Colony Inn for oh-so-tasty apple crisp! We can’t forget about the Bird’s Nest Café’s pumpkin spice latte pancakes. Looking for caramel apples? Find them at the Carmel Corn Cottage or Nashville Fudge Kitchen!

Candy

The fall sugar rush continues! Dig into the flavors of fall…in candy form. Score some melt-in-your mouth pumpkin spice fudge at Schwab’s, the Heritage Candy Store, and the Nashville Fudge Kitchen! Other unique fudge flavors to try are persimmon (Nashville Fudge Kitchen) and maple bacon (Heritage Candy Store). Hit up the Candy Emporium for maple and pumpkin spice truffles, pumpkin spice malt balls, maple bun bars, and more! The Nashville Fudge Kitchen is another go-to for candy galore. There you’ll find s’more pops, milk chocolate maple cremes, caramel apple taffy, and pumpkin spice espresso beans…just to name a few. Caramel lover? Head to the Heritage Candy Store for…you guessed it, pumpkin spice caramels!

Salty (But Still Pretty Sweet) Snacks

Salty and sweet…it doesn’t get much better! Stop by Jack and Jill Nut Shop for nuts with a fall upgrade: cinnamon. Find some more fall crunch at the Nashville Fudge Kitchen. Devour some caramel apple pie mix, both nutty and sweet. You’ll also find popcorn there…LOTS of popcorn! Flavors to try: toasted marshmallow, apple butter, pumpkin, cinnamon, maple nut, and fall festival.

Want a hardier snack? Chow down on some sweet potato fries at either the Nashville General Store & Bakery or the Artists Colony Inn. If you’re feeling carnivorous, check out the maple pork jerky and maple brown sugar peppered bacon jerky from the House of Jerky!

Culinary Sauces and Jams

Make fall last forever! Stock up on fall flavors to take home with you. A must stop shop: the Nashville Spice Company. There you’ll find pumpkin honey mustard, bourbon sweet potato butter, toasted cinnamon pear preserves, apricot ginger teriyaki glaze, apple maple bacon jam, and more! Hungry yet?

Make your way to Off Main for apple butter BBQ sauce, caramel pecan apple butter, and regular apple butter…he’ll even sell it to you in a quart! Pop in the Harvest Preserve for maple apple onion jam, apple cranberry chutney, and bourbon pecan caramel sauce! Right next door, you’ll find The Wild Olive, along with maple balsamic, carrot cake in a jar jam, and apple pie balsamic jam. Head to the Nashville General Store & Bakery for even more fabulous fall food. Pear preserves, pumpkin and apple butter, smoky maple glaze, apple cinnamon syrup…the fall flavors just keep on comin’!

Of course, you can treat more than your taste buds to Brown County’s best fall flavors. Delight all your senses, including those eyeballs and sniffers! There are plenty of fall scented candles and sprays, home décor, knick knacks, and more at every turn in the Village too.
