A future funding cycle will be announced when available. Organizations interested in applying can review the information below to begin preparing.

Who can apply:

Eligible applicants may include:

• Nonprofit organizations
• Government entities
• Organizations with a qualified fiscal sponsor

All applicants must demonstrate the ability to manage funds responsibly and complete required reporting.

Eligibility requirements:

• Meaningful benefit to Brown County
• Alignment with Quality of Life priorities and applicable requirements for Innkeeper’s Tax funding
• A clear project purpose and anticipated outcomes
• Financial responsibility and project feasibility

Supporting Documentation

Depending on the project and applicant, supporting documentation may be requested as part of the application process. Requirements will be identified when a funding cycle opens.

Required documents:

Applicants may be required to submit:

• Proof of nonprofit status or equivalent documentation
• Financial statements
• Current operating budget
• Board or governing body approval
• Price quotes for capital projects
• Letters of support (if applicable)

How projects are reviewed:

Applications will be evaluated based on:

• Community need and impact
• Number of people served
• Feasibility and timeline
• Budget reasonableness
• Organizational stability
• Measurable outcomes
• Completeness of application
• Collaboration with other organizations

After you apply:

• Applications are reviewed for eligibility and completeness. Eligible projects are evaluated through the Quality of Life process, and additional information or an applicant interview may be requested. Funding recommendations proceed through the applicable public approval process before funds are awarded. Approved projects are subject to reporting and accountability requirements.
