The Verona Quartet

You’re invited to the renowned Verona Quartet’s performance at 7pm on April 24 at the Nashville United Methodist Church. Verona serves as faculty at Oberlin College and Conservatory, where they’re Quartet-in-Residence. Among their countless awards: Chamber Music America’s prestigious Cleveland Quartet Award, and top prize wins at the Wigmore Hall, Melbourne, M-Prize and Osaka International Chamber Music Competitions. Their “vibrant, Intelligent” performances have at their heart storytelling, an art, says Verona, that transcends genre. Their name pays tribute to the best storyteller of all time, William Shakespeare.

For students—during the school day

Brown County students are in for a treat- the Verona Quartet is coming to Brown County High School! Passionate about education and outreach, Verona won the prestigious Fischoff 2025 Ann Divine Educator Award for outstanding and innovative programming for K-12 students. In the Quartet’s own words, the award “energizes our ongoing commitment to music education and community engagement. We believe wholeheartedly in the power of chamber music to inspire, spark connection, and uplift lives.” The concert audience of middle- and high-school students will also share comments and questions with the Quartet. This concert is one component of our 2026 programming for Brown County schools. More to come!
