Christmas in the House of the Singing Winds
Celebrate the beauty of the season at the T.C. Steele State Historic Site on December 7!
The day begins at 10:15 a.m. with a special guided tour exploring artist T.C. Steele’s final Christmas at the House of the Singing Winds. Offered as part of the site’s year-long centennial commemoration, this tour includes access to the new exhibition in the Large Studio showcasing rarely seen works and newly acquired pieces from across Steele’s career. The tour is included with regular site admission.
From 12–4 p.m., families are invited to enjoy the annual Steele’s Country Christmas, a festive St. Nicholas Day tradition. Sip warm drinks, enjoy sweet treats, listen to live music, create holiday crafts, and meet St. Nicholas along with his mischievous companion Belsnickel. Guests can also wander through the beautifully decorated House of the Singing Winds and Large Studio, complete with charming 1920s holiday décor and a sparkling 12-foot Christmas tree.
Tickets: $14 adults | $12 seniors | $8 youth
In addition, from 1–3 p.m., visitors can take part in a special holiday wreath and swag workshop. Create a unique, handmade piece to take home for the season.
Workshop cost: $45 per person, which includes admission to Steele’s Country Christmas. Spots are limited and reservations are required.
