Brown County State Park Tours
The Brown County Convention and Visitors Bureau, in partnership with the Friends of Brown County State Park, offers a step on guide service for a comprehensive tour of the largest state park in Indiana. Tours last approximately 2 hours. There are several scenic vistas with ample space for a coach to stop and allow passengers to exit for viewing and photo opportunities. The Nature Center has an interpretative garden, a bird observation room, and an observation deck for viewing the scenery. Restrooms and drinking water are available at the Nature Center. The Abe Martin Lodge, in the heart of the Brown County State Park, has a dining room, gift shop, and two large lobbies with fireplaces. The Fire Tower is another popular feature that offers a wondrous view to those who accept the challenge. A short, paved, easy access walking trail is located next to the State Park Office.
Step on guide fees are $75.00. There is a $2.00 per person gate feepayable to the gate attendee. Park tours can be scheduled by contacting the Brown County Convention and Visitors Bureau at 800.753.3255 or email jellis@browncounty.com.
