The Brown County Convention & Visitors Bureau (hereafter BCCVB) offers its support to immediate and ongoing marketing efforts. In 2002, the BCCVB established the destination brand of "The Art Colony of the Midwest"TM. This was done for a variety of reasons, but ultimately for the purpose of highlighting the rich arts heritage of the county and reinforcing such in the minds of current and potential visitors.
The BCCVB recognizes that offering quality art related experiences to the many visitors to Brown County is in the best interest of the BCCVB, reinforces the established brand identity, and has a positive economic impact to the community as a whole.
The BCCVB holds trademark ownership rights for the phrase "The Art Colony of the Midwest"TM. It is the intent of this trademark ownership to reinforce the rich arts heritage of the county and gain recognition for such in special interest markets, while protecting the positioning this area is known for.
