1. Sample wine at the Brown County Winery or Chateau Thomas Winery tasting rooms.

Brown County Winery (812) 988-6144, State Road 46 East five minutes east of Nashville in downtown Gnaw Bone. Known for their award winning wines and cozy atmosphere, Brown County Winery offers complimentary wine tasting each day and many days you can see wine production through two large viewing windows. The Nashville tasting room is located on Old School Way.

Chateau Thomas Winery (812) 988-8500, 225 South Van Buren Street, Nashville. In business for 22 years, Chateau Thomas Winery is one of Indiana's finest wineries producing first-class vinifera wines from the best grapes obtainable. Their entire list of wines is available for tasting, and you can browse through the gift shop for hard-to-find wine accessories, gourmet foods and exceptional gifts. Wine tasting and gourmet cheese plates are on hand anytime. For year round enjoyment, sit down and relax at their indoor-outdoor fireplace and patio while savoring wine and along with the scenery.

2. Get married or renew your vows at our many wedding chapels.

There is nothing like a wedding, or renewing your commitment of love, in Brown County. There are wedding venues that please both bride and groom alike - from chapels and churches to luxurious receptions. Bring your significant other and we have the rest. Join renowned artist and bird enthusiast William Zimmerman April 28-30 as he leads informative bird walks during Brown County's 21st Annual Spring Wildflower Foray. The Brown County Convention and Visitors Bureau has created a guidebook called "The Birding Guide of Brown County, Indiana." It is a full color guidebook with six local birding routes and maps. 5. Rent a romantic cabin and cozy up with your special someone

10. Take a tour of Brown County's own For Bare Feet Sock Factory

In 2006, For Bare Feet has opened their factory doors and are offering tours so the public can personally see how the socks are made. From cones of yarn to the finished product, you will witness each step and what it takes to make the perfect sock. All tour participants will receive a FREE pair of socks at the end of the tour.
